RTI - Procedure For Getting Information

Any citizen of India who wishes to seek information under the Right to Information act 2005 can file an application to the Public Information Officer, Delhi. The general information about the act is available in Hindi and English language at Click here for Hindi and Click here for English respectively






Also, under the RTI Act, the request can be made through this Web Portal to the Ministries/Departments of Government of India. The guidelines for using the RTI online portal are given at Click Here




The Fee for making an application is as prescribed in the RTI Rules, 2012. Briefly, a normal application fee of Rs. 10 per application will be charged by way of cash or a Postal Order in favour of 'The Principal' , Sri Venkateswara College, University of Delhi/ Delhi and payable at Delhi for supply of information.

The office will endeavour to provide the information in the shortest possible time subject to a maximum of 30 days.

In case, any person does not get a response from the PIOs within 30 days of the submission of the application or is aggrieved by the response received within the prescribed period, he/she may file appeal to the following.
